Associate Attorney
James “Jim” Anderson joined the Capital Region office of Pierro, Connor & Strauss, LLC as an Associate Attorney in May 2026. His practice focuses primarily on estate litigation and guardianship matters. He is committed to guiding clients through complex and often sensitive disputes with clarity and responsiveness, working to achieve practical resolutions while protecting their interests at every stage of the process.
Previous Experience
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Anderson practiced civil litigation, representing automotive manufacturers and distributors in warranty and consumer protection matters. He handled all phases of litigation, including arbitration hearings, motion practice, discovery, depositions, settlement negotiations, and court appearances.
Before entering private practice, James gained experience with the New York State Unified Court System and several New York State agencies, where he developed a strong foundation in legal analysis, compliance, and dispute resolution. These experiences continue to inform his practical and client-focused approach to advocacy.
Education
Mr. Anderson is a cum laude graduate of Albany Law School of Union University, where he earned his J.D. in an accelerated two-year program. During law school, he was a judicial intern with the New York State Unified Court System. James received his B.S. in Political Science from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, where he was also a member of the Political Science Honor Society.
