Hanna R. Dameron joined the New York City office of Pierro, Connor & Strauss, LLC as an associate attorney in 2021. She practices estate and trust litigation, as well as estate and trust planning and administration.

Prior to joining Pierro, Connor & Strauss, Ms. Dameron served as an Assistant District Attorney at the New York County District Attorney’s Office, where she handled hundreds of felony and misdemeanor cases from inception to conclusion, including investigation, complaint drafting, witness interviews, grand jury presentation, plea negotiation, and trial. She also led complex, long-term grand jury investigations resulting in prosecution or justified dismissal. Her prosecutions included violent crimes, domestic abuse, sexual abuse, employee fraud, cyberstalking, and weapon and drug-related cases.

Ms. Dameron decided to transition her practice to estates and trusts after serving as an executor, where she experienced the challenges of handing the affairs of a family member firsthand. This experience made her passionate about assisting families in difficult times and helping them plan for the future to protect their loved ones.

Ms. Dameron received her J.D. cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center in 2013. She was on the Dean’s List (top 30%) for all three years and received three  CALI Awards for writing the best exam or paper in a class. She was a Board Member and Senior Articles Editor of the American Criminal Law Review, the nation’s premiere criminal law journal, and is the co-author of Health Care Fraud, 49 Am.Crim.L.R. 862 (2012). She was also a distinguished Moot Court competitor and a Board Member of the Georgetown Law Innocence Project.

Prior to law school, Ms. Dameron worked at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security on criminal justice issues for New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina, and at the National Security Network in Washington, D.C.

Ms. Dameron graduated from the University of Chicago in 2008 and from The Spence School in New York City in 2004.

Ms. Dameron is a member of the New York State Bar Association Trusts and Estates section. She volunteers with several local schools in New York City for fundraising and mock trial advising. She also aids survivors of gender-based violence and domestic abuse through Sanctuary for Families.
