Counsel
I’m available for speaking engagements at client seminars, community groups and professional organizations.
Ingrid Johnson joined the New York City office in 2022 as Counsel, bringing a wealth of experience handling complex legal matters. She focuses on fiduciary and estate litigation, high-stakes shareholder litigation for family-owned companies, business legacy planning, pre- and post-death charitable plans (including foundations and donor advised funds), tax planning, and tax litigation. Over her 25-year career, Ms. Johnson has become known a powerful and persuasive advocate for her clients, as well as a goal-oriented and compassionate advisor.
Ms. Johnson recently completed an LLM in Tax at New York University, one of the nation’s most prestigious tax programs. She earned her JD at Rutgers School of Law in 1997 where she was Editor-in-Chief of the Rutgers Computer and Technology Law Journal. She earned a BA in History from Bryn Mawr College, where she was the student commencement speaker, a nationally ranked springboard diver, and a nominee for the NCAA Woman of the Year.
Ms. Johnson has always believed that public interest work and “giving back” are part of her role as an attorney. She has been recognized for her public interest work by Harvard Law School, which selected her as a Wasserstein Public Interest Fellow, and Rutgers Law School, which awarded her with the Philip Levin Public Interest Scholarship.
Ms. Johnson is licensed to practice law in New York and New Jersey.
