David S. Staggs, LL.M., Esq.
David Staggs holds a Master of Laws in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center, where he focused his coursework on taxation of privately owned businesses, including LLC’s, Partnerships and S Corporations. He graduated with both Distinction and Dean’s List honors, earning CALI awards for achieving the highest class marks in Drafting Partnership and LLC Agreements, Tax Penalties and Opinions, and International Taxation.
Mr. Staggs received his Juris Doctorate from Western New England University, where he graduated cum laude. There he earned CALI awards in three courses, including Corporate Tax, and participated in the 2011 ABA Law Student Tax Challenge. While a student in the J.D. program, Mr. Staggs served as Research Assistant to the Dean of the Estate Planning and Elder Law LL.M. program. In that role, he drafted revisions to Chapter 22 of Understanding and Using Trusts, a Massachusetts CLE series.
Prior to joining Pierro, Connor & Associates, LLC, Mr. Staggs served as Associate Editor for the Wealth Strategies Journal, where he monitored, reviewed, and summarized updates in the worlds of taxation, estate planning, and elder law. Mr. Staggs’ practice areas include both simple and complex Estate Planning, Business Succession Planning, Buy-Sell Agreements, Asset Protection, Charitable Giving, Tax Planning, and Estate Planning for Retirement Assets.
David also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law for the LL.M. program in Estate Planning & Elder Law at Western New England University School of Law, teaching courses entitled Wealth Planning with Life Insurance and Drafting Wills and Trusts. He is licensed to practice in the state of New York.
