PHILIP A. DI GIORGIO practices in the areas of Estate Planning, Estate and Trust Administration and Estate and Gift Taxation.   Mr. Di Giorgio is a graduate of the Albany Law School of Union University, and received his Bachelor of Arts Decree from State University of New York at Albany .   He was admitted to the New York State Bar in January, 1991, and is also admitted to the Federal District Court for the Northern District of New York.

Mr. Di Giorgio joined Pierro & Associates, LLC after having served as an Internal Revenue Service Estate Tax Attorney from 1991 – 1999.   Mr. Di Giorgio authored Your Estate Tax Return and the Internal Revenue Service and served as an instructor for the IRS.   He is a member of the New York State Bar Association Trusts and Estates Section, the Estate Planning Council of Eastern N.Y.   Mr. Di Giorgio is also the author of an article entitled Surviving an Estate Tax Audit which was published in the New York State Bar Association's Trusts and Estates Section Newsletter, Winter 2000, and Medicaid Recoveries from Estates published Winter 2004.   Mr. Di Giorgio helped to establish the Albany County Bar Trusts, Estates and Elder Law Committee of which he served as Co-Chair from January, 2002 to December, 2003.   Mr. Di Giorgio's article Understanding Tax Procedures was published in April, 2002 as an instructional text published by the National Business Institute entitled "A Practical Guide to Estate Administration in New York ."   Mr. Di Giorgio was named a partner at Pierro Law Group as of April, 2005.   Mr. Di Giorgio was appointed as vice chair of the Estate Planning Committee for the New York State Bar Association's Trust and Estates Section in January of 2006.
